about

This is an educational song for children up to the age of 4 years old. The song has a message to encourage children and parents to grow flowers in the garden that attract wildlife, especially bees who are becoming ever endangered. The song also has a fun reference to the Queen Bee in celebration of the Queen of Englands Diamond Jubilee 2012. This song has a catchy chorus which is also a round, which encourages children to learn the art of harmonising and singing together

lyrics

Look everybody there's a little bee in the garden! Can you see how busy she is? She's got her little sacks and she's carrying the pollen from one flower to the next, she's drinking the nectar and enjoying the sunshine then she's going to fly back to the hive and make lots and lots of delicious honey! She's not going to sting you as long as you leave her alone to do her job, so don't touch!

Busy bees busy bees
in the garden
busy bees busy bees
sharing pollen
busy bees busy bees
in the pretty flowers
can you make some honey for me
busy busy bees

(sang as a round)

The queen bee is back at the next
today she's having a rest
she's a little bit tired
after laying over 5000 eggs
it's the queens jubilee
and the bees are working frantically
the queen bee is very excited
can you hear her singing her favourite song!

lets ask our mummy's and daddys'
to sow some pretty flowers in the gardens
or on our window sills
so that we can invite the bee family into our gardens

bees love to forage
on lavender and borage
and they love to climb inside a foxglove
bees like yellow
and bees like blue
the queen bees breakfast
is royal jelly goo
but she hasn't got time to watch the telly
she's much to busy trying to save nature
so lets go outside
and get some D
sow some flowers
and help the bees
can you sound like a bee?
